Bonjour Paris!

I am finally getting a Paris post done (as we are getting ready to leave Paris).  We've been super busy but I just had to do one Paris post from Paris!

This city is so beautiful and we were impressed from the moment we got here.  I love the tops of the buildings here, with the curved blue roofs and fancy iron terraces.  Here's a picture of the building we're living in here in Paris, complete with a lovely blue door!
Our street :)
Right across our little street (what we see out our window) there is a cute little street garden with all sorts of flowers and even some vegetables!  They are tended by people that live in the buildings along the street and it's so cute to see kids with their parents out there taking care of the gardens :)

Our apartment here is super adorable, we really lucked out.  Here are some highlights.

I love our blue door! there is a little entryway once you go inside, then another door to the mini courtyard where our apartment door is.

In the kitchen we have the coolest fridge ever, I mean it's orange for goodness sake! Love it! And I was happy to find our apartment here also has a Moka Pot for my coffee fix :)  Besides the fridge, my other favorite thing is the awesome phone.  It's digital and cordless but looks like an old rotary phone!  Even though we don't really use it, it makes me happy!

It's a cozy little apartment, and we learned that in France the shower is separate from the rest of the bathroom, which actually works out pretty well and maximizes the little space!

One of the first things we did when we got here was to walk around a little bit and explore our neighborhood.  We live in the South part of the main center of Paris, super close to the Alesia subway station, which worked out well.  However, on our first day wandering around we stuck to just walking and were so excited when we caught our first glance of the Eiffel Tower!  We didn't make it all the way to it the first day but went back several times in the following weeks.

On our journeys around the city we definitely stopped for some of Paris's yummy treats.  The little grocery stores and pastry shops are so cute and smell amazing as you walk by.  There are also beautifully landscaped parks all over the place, which are the perfect spot to hang out and enjoy a treat!

creme brulee in the park!

So there's a first taste of our adventure in Paris!  More to come as soon as I can, but we're going to be busy travelling a lot for the next couple weeks, so bear with me, it may be a little while!
